German-UAE College of Logistics (GUCL) – Deutsch-Emiratische Hochschule für Logistik, Abu Dhabi

The German-UAE College of Logistics brings together the competences of three German Universities of Applied Sciences with those of the Higher Colleges of Technology Abu Dhabi; it provides students the opportunity to obtain an internationally recognized German-UAE Dual Bachelor Degree. This is especially of importance due to the political and strategic significance of the region at the Arabic Gulf and Germany’s economic perspectives there. The practice-oriented concept of university education at German Universities of Applied Sciences is an internationally recognized concept for degree courses which are systematically adjusted to professional requirement and the employment market. The education principle is to secure graduates employability by combining academic training and practice oriented team work. Besides the Higher Colleges of Technology Abu Dhabi as the partner in the UAE the German partners are Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau, Jade UAS with their Faculty of Maritime Studies in Elsfleth and UAS Bremen. The first Bachelor students were enrolled in their first semester in September 2012, the study course covers eight semesters, two of them are study and internship semester in Germany.

For international students the INVIT@THWildau program facilitates the entry to their freshman-year.

Do you want to study in Germany, but do not yet speak German? Do you want to learn German and prepare for your degree studies during a foundation year?

Prepare for Germany in Germany! Explore the culture of Germany!

Wildau Foundation Year – Wildau for You is a three-semester integration programme for international students, which facilitates their entry to the German academic world through preparatory studies in language, culture and academic methodology. High-school graduates from China with Gao-Kao, from India and the Arab-states are strongly urged to enroll in this program to acquire the necessary language proficiencies and soft-skills and ease their way to the freshman year.
